Last year’s Fall Rush binder sat underneath a pile of books in a dark corner by my desk. The Rush binder is a collection of resumes, applications, and my efforts to be the most caring Pledge Master ever. I gave it a sympathetic glance then picked it up and thumbed through the papers inside.

If someone has any value, then what they say will have value.
It’s a relatively simple concept, because if we truly care about someone, we’ll truly care about what they have to say. And it comes back to the individual because if we find something valuable in ourselves, we’re more predisposed to share our thoughts and opinions with others. It’s not a bad thing, necessarily, and I’m all for it. I’m such a huge facebook slut for a reason. I’m also writing this blog for similar reasons: I want to share. But mostly I want to purge.
